EPISODE 7 - WALKING THE WIGHT 2018
My belated attempt (see episode 2) to complete Walk the Wight 2018, an annual 26.5 mile walk across the Isle of Wight that I filmed in 2015 but never attempted.
Joining me is Rob Wilson, who usually runs the course, but agreed to be slowed down this year by a newbie. |

The sixth episode sees one of the Red Funnel ferries (The Red Falcon) from Southampton to the Isle of Wight taken over and rechristened The Millenium Falcon for a round trip crossing on May 4th, Star Wars Day.

EPISODE 5 - THE ISLAND SAVOYARDS
Episode 5, by far the longest one yet. Following the Island Savoyards, a musical theatre company on the Isle of Wight. Covering their history from formation in 1971 till the present day as they put on a production of the Dolly Parton Musical 9 to 5.

EPISODE 4 - ROUND THE ISLAND RACE
I unfortunately fulfil the stereotype of a black man who can't swim. So I overcame a lifetime of avoiding boats to experience what the Round the Island Race (an annual mass participation boat race around the Isle of Wight) is all about.

EPISODE 3 - THE SMOKEHOUSE BURGER CO.
One day I was outside a hardware store and in the reflection on the window I noticed a restaurant behind me. I wasn't long on the Isle of Wight and after taking my wife for dinner was surprised to find something like this. Started asking the staff questions, and this was the result.

EPISODE 2 - WALK THE WIGHT (EARL MOUNTBATTEN HOSPICE)
One morning, on my way to church, I came across a whole load of people blocking the path of my car, by walking. And that was how I discovered Walk the Wight, a 26 mile trek across the Isle of Wight. Went back the next year with a camera.

EPISODE 1 - SCOOT FERRIES
The Isle of Wight is of course, an Island as such, ferries are an unavoidable fact of life. There are never enough, they could be more frequent and they could be cheaper. When the now defunct SCOOT ferries opened up it seemed like a great thing and a good alternative to getting off the Island to the traditional powers of Red Funnel and Wightlink. This was before it all went wrong.
