Recorded a few hours before Avengers Endgame was unleashed upon an entirely suspecting and expectant world, we have a look at the films that decided to nip into cinemas just before so there is at least a chance they get some attention.
Once again on the Isle of Wight in the Cinema that Tosin, Sharon and Shaun first met in. Shaun marvels at the other side of Angelina Jolie, Sharon indulges her love of Country music through Wild Rose. Billy Graham finally makes it onto the podcast after being delayed a month. And Tosin talks about how Isabelle Huppert kept him up at night in Greta.

Wild Rose: Comparisons to other movies are misplaced. Entirely it's own beast with great performances and sensibility
- 4 out of 5
Picture
Red Joan: Shaun surprised to like this interogation/spy/romance movie hybrid. Loves Judi Dench even though she's not in it much
- 3 out of 5
Picture
Brigsby Bear: Indie, Off beat, off kilter. all words that can be used to describe this concoction that also has a big and non contrived heart beating at the centre of it. Tosin Loved it.
- 4 out of 5
Picture
Dragged Across Concrete: With Director S. Craig Zahler, you kinda know what you're going to get.
- 4 out of 5
Picture
Greta: Tosin did not enjoy watching this, but decided that might be what Neil Jordan was going for. Gave him bad dreams
- 3 out of 5
Picture
First they killed my Father: Angelina Jolie directs a hard hitting story about the Cambodian genocide that is up there with the Killing Fields

Star Trek Discovery Season 2: Builds on Season one, answers some questions that have been floating since season 1 and leaves in an intriguing place for season 3.

Netflix VS Cinema: Guava Island VS Hellboy; The Silence VS Little; Black 47

Because Everyone is talking about it, we start off talking about Man City vs Tottenham, Once that's out of the way, we get to discussing Donald Glover and Rhianna on Guava Island, Stanley Tucci and Kiernan Shipka being in the unfortunate wake of A Quiet Place, David Harbour in Hellboy. And Shaun makes some shocking admissions of well loved actors who do nothing for him.
Picture
Guava Island : "Interesting but not the artistic triumph some claim"
-3 out of 5
Picture
Hellboy : Shaun really surprised that he liked this a lot. Possibly due to lack of Ron Perlman
-4 out of 5
Picture
The Silence: Destroyed by A quiet place, this feels derivative and has not much to offer
- 2 out of 5
Picture
Little : Tosin "really wanted to like this, love everyone involved, but being a body swap film, you know exactly where it's going and that's no excuse for bringing nothing new to the table
- 2 out of 5
Picture
Black 47 : Like a 19th century, arty, Irish Western set during the Potato famine, lovely scenery, brutal violence. Shaun loved it but was a bit slow

Netflix vs Cinema Podcast - SHAZAM! VS Paul The Apostle of Christ; Missing Link VS Love, Death & Robots; A Clockwork Orange VS Unicorn Store

In addition to reviewing Zachary Levi in DC's latest big screen outing, Sharon takes us biblical with Easter coming up, and we review every single episode of Netflix's Love, Death and Robots. Shaun waxes on about seeing A Clockwork Orange on the big screen the way GOD (or at least Stanley Kubrick, who arguably though he was God) intended, Tosin seizes another uninvited opportunity to talk about The Blue Brothers.

We also discuss Brie Larson's directorial Debut on Netflix, Unicorn Store.
Enjoy and see you next week.

Netflix vs Cinema 4th April - Dumbo(2019) vs Dumbo (1941); Pet Sematary vs The Highwaymen; Us vs Our Souls at Night

Here at Toes In Video Production, we are massive film geeks and what we produce is not just about what you see. With this in mind, each week Tosin runs a podcast where we discuss what we've seen in the cinema and what we've seen at home.
Picture
We ask the question 'Is Netflix killing Cinema?' (It's really just an excuse for us to watch even more movies). Our very scientific way of going about it is to watch movies at home (primarily Netflix), rate them and repeat the feat at the cinema.

At the end of the show we declare a winner for the week, and suggest who provided better value for your money.

Picture
This week we discuss Dame Helen Mirren wading into the Netflix vs Cinema Debate, and whether Disney and Tim Burton should have bothered updating Dumbo.

Enjoy the show, Listen above and if you're the savvy type, find it through the podcast provider of your choice.

Till Next week
