Keeping your business visible and reminding people you still exist is going to be key during this lockdown.
Video is brilliant for that. The 6th in the Making Good Business Videos On Your Phone Series. Location and editing. The location you film yourself in speaks to people before they've even started to listen to you. During a COVID-19 lockdown people will be more forgiving as they know that you are limited with where you can go. But it's still a good idea to make sure that you've thought about your audience and there is some reflection of that in your location. Editing is crazy, convoluted and for most businesses, you are better off getting someone like me to do it but if you would like to dip your toes in to that time sink, I recommend you start with iMovie if on a Mac https://www.apple.com/uk/imovie/ On a PC, the following link should give you some ideas https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/search?q=video+editor Although I really like the look of Filmora if you are OK to spend a little. https://filmora.wondershare.com/ TO VIEW ALL 6 VIDEOS IN THE SERIES, GO TO http://www.toesin.com/phone

Video is brilliant for that. The third in a series of tutorials about making good business videos on your phone, presented by Tosin Ajayi of Toes In Video Production. This one is focussed on Lighting and how to use it. Lighting. You need it. and it can get complicated and confusing. The basic point of lighting is 'WE NEED TO SEE YOUR FACE!!' all other lighting is an advancement of this. Personally I prefer to use natural light as much as possible and will ditch an artificial light for facing a window in a heart beat. But in general the biggest faux pas people commit is to film themselves in front of a window. DO NOT DO THIS!! Turn around and use that window to your advantage. Video is brilliant for that. The second in a series of tutorials about Making Good Business Videos on your phone, presented by Tosin Ajayi of Toes In Video Production. This one is focussed on what phone to use to make the video and the Tripod. Having a steady shot immediately gives a video a professional look (in my less than humble opinion) and that is where a tripod comes in. If you are making a video on your phone for your business, I would get one. Also as much as possible, use the camera on the back of the phone, what ever phone you have, that camera will be better. Without a path for what you want to say, you are wasting your time, your viewers time and your money
In this video I talk about the importance of the script and how what you write on the page translates to what you present to the camera.
